husband Ben Affleck did NOT cheat on her with their children’s nanny, as had been widely reported.
In Jen’s first interview since the pair split in 2015, the actress didn’t hold back and was keen to clear up the rumours surrounding her marriage breakdown. She said: ‘Let me just tell you something. We had been separated for months before I ever heard about the nanny.
‘She had nothing to do with our decision to divorce. She was not a part of the equation.’
Ben and Christine Ouzounian, 28, were dogged by rumours for months after he split from Garner, with claims swirling that a romantic relationship between the two led to the demise of his 10-year marriage.
‘And I’m still the only person that knows some of his truths.’
However she did add that Ben’s decision to be involved with Christine was ‘bad judgment’, admitting that ‘it’s not great for your kids for [a nanny] to disappear from their lives’.
Jennifer and Ben have three children together (Violet, 10, Seraphina, 7, and Sam, 4) and in one of her more emotional moments Jennifer admitted that knowing what she knows now, she would still do it all over again to have her ‘three babies’.
‘He’s the love of my life. What am I going to do about that? He’s the most brilliant person in any room, the most charismatic, the most generous. He’s just a complicated guy,’ she added to the American publication.
‘I always say, “When his sun shines on you, you feel it.” But when the sun is shining elsewhere, it’s cold. He can cast quite a shadow.’
It was thought that Jen had been dating her Valentine’s Day co-star Patrick Dempsey, but the actress revealed that it’s actually been two other Hollywood stars who have been helping her through the split – Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
Jen revealed she watches their show when she struggles to sleep, adding: ‘God bless those girls!’
